Michele De Lucchi

Michele was among the prominent figures of Alchymia and Memphis; he designed furniture for the main Italian and European companies and was in charge of the Design Olivetti. He worked on architectural projects like residential, industrial, cultural buildings and corporate headquarters. He designed offices for Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Bundesbahn, Poste Italiane, Hera, Intesa Sanpaolo, UniCredit, and many other companies. He designed display systems for museums including the Triennale di Milano, Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, Neues Museum in Berlin. He is currently working on the design of luxury resorts around the world, on the realization of an indoor ski facility in Arese and on a project for a pharmaceutical campus in Bresso. In 2000, he was appointed as Professor at the IUAV University in Venice. In 2006, he received an Honorary Doctorate from Kingston University and since 2008 he has been teaching at Politecnico di Milano and Accademia Nazionale di San Luca in Rome. In 2018, he is the Director of Domus magazine.
