Brief
Architecture is a privileged tool of those brands that are characterized by a high positioning and that - in addition to the quality of their products - need to nurture an imagery made of prestige, style and refinement. From showrooms to stores, fashion needs architects as much as stylists, photographers and modelers.
For these reasons, the course in Architecture for Fashion was created, with the aim of training designers capable of interpreting the identity of a brand to transform it into architectural space, transferring those meanings of exclusivity, luxury and elegance from the garment to the environment deputed to exhibit it.
By delving into the needs of the fashion world, designers will acquire spendable skills in the entire luxury sector, gaining familiarity with a market segment characterized by timeless appeal and continuous and rewarding employment opportunities.
Through the course, participants will delve into the technical and compositional issues of design in the service of fashion, according to a course composed of 88 hours of frontal teaching, 32 hours of workshop and numerous contributions by renowned professionals. At the end of the course, students will also be guaranteed a training internship within some of the most prestigious architectural firms on the international scene.

Design workshop
Giuseppe Zampieri / David Chipperfield Architects Milan
The workshop will represent an opportunity for practical synthesis through which students will test all the notions provided through the other teaching modules, guaranteeing strategic solutions regarding a real project of great importance. In collaboration with Agnona, a historic brand of contemporary luxury based in Milan, students will be asked to design a pop-up store capable of embodying its identity and values. The workshop will provide an opportunity to reflect on the potential of the temporary space as a place of privileged representation of the brand: not just a store, but an immersive experience capable of communicating the elegance and refinement that distinguish Agnona. At a time when the physical store takes on a central role in narrating and building an authentic relationship with the customer, students will be asked to design innovative, sustainable and replicable solutions, capable of combining aesthetics, functionality and production efficiency.
Construction workshop
Construction is a fundamental step in architecture. For this reason, YACademy offers its students the opportunity to participate in the process of producing their own ideas. Thus, the students will gain practical experience on construction sites and, above all, the authorship of projects built for excellent commissions, destined for a major media echo and capable of defining a turning point in their professional career.
Placement
At the end of teaching modules and workshop, YACademy’s Placement office will guarantee every student an internship or collaboration proposal in one of our partner studios.
