After graduating with honors from the University Institute of Architecture in Venice (IUAV), he joined David Chipperfield Architects in London in 1996, becoming an Associate in 1999, Senior Associate in 2000, and Director of Design in 2002. From 2004 to 2006 he headed the Concept Design team at the same firm. In 2006, he founded David Chipperfield Architects in Milan, serving as Administrator and Director of Design and becoming a Partner in 2016. In more than 20 years of professional experience, he has directed a wide range of international projects of various sizes, from urban plans to public and private buildings, and has participated in various competitions around the world, winning them on many occasions. Since founding the Milan-based firm, he has directed the development of the Store Concept for a number of fashion brands including Bally, Brioni and Valentino, as well as online retailers such as SSENSE, and has also led a number of projects in Italy and the Middle East.
