Alan Dunlop Architect
Alan Dunlop is an architect with a portfolio of award-winning buildings; including the internationally renowned Hazelwood School, which was listed as one of the world’s top five schools by the Royal Institute of British Architects. He is a fellow of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland and an alumnus of the Glasgow School of Art. He has written extensively on architecture and urban design. As an educator, he was a Victor L. Regnier Visiting Professor at Kansas State University; the Mahlum Endowed Lecturer at the University of Washington and Chair of Contemporary Architectural Practice at the University of Liverpool. He was also the external examiner at XJTLU School of Architecture, Suzhou, China and guided the school toward RIBA accreditation in 2014. In 2019, he was appointed as the External Academic Specialist to appraise the joint architecture and urban design programme between the University of Dundee and the University of Wuhan in Hubei, China.
