German Del Sol
Germán del Sol (1949) trained at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and later at the School of Architecture in Barcelona, where he graduated in 1973. After a period of independent practice between Spain and the United States, he founded his own studio in Chile in 1986. In 1992, together with José Cruz, he designed the Chilean Pavilion for the Seville Expo, which became one of the most representative works of contemporary Chilean architecture. In 2006, he received the National Architecture Prize, the highest recognition for an architect in Chile.
